Pendant deux jours, du 24 au 25 août 2022, 18 participants, dont au moins 7 femmes et jeunes se rendront respectivement sur deux fermes piscicoles pratiquant des systèmes de production hors sol de type biofloc et à eau recirculée dans le District d’Abidjan - Côte d’Ivoire.
Ces participants, pisciculteurs extensifs ou semi intensifs ou en instance d’installation, provenant de l’ensemble du territoire national, auront ainsi l’occasion à travers les partages d’expériences entre pisciculteurs de découvrir et/ou de comprendre le fonctionnement de ces systèmes de production hors sol et d’en mesurer les spécificités en termes de productivité, de rentabilité et de coût d’installation (utilisation de matériaux locaux).
Cet échange d’expérience fait partie du soutien de FISH4ACP au développement de la chaine de valeur de l'aquaculture du tilapia en Côte d’Ivoire. FISH4ACP est une initiative de l’Organisation des Etats d'Afrique des Caraïbes et du Pacifique, mise en œuvre par la FAO et financée par l’UE et le Ministère Fédéral Allemand de la Coopération Economique et du Développement (BMZ).

Event title: "Sharing of experiences on the practice of recirculation and biofloc systems in aquaculture"
For two days, from August 24 to 25, 2022, 18 participants, including at least 7 women and young people, will visit two fish farms using biofloc and recirculation production systems in the District of Abidjan - Côte d'Ivoire.
These participants stemming from all around the country are all extensive or semi-intensive fish farmers or in the process of setting up their farms. They will be meeting with the people running of these advanced production systems and exchange with them in order understand their specificities in terms of productivity, profitability, and installation costs through the use of local materials.
This exchange of experience is part of FISH4ACP's support for the development of the tilapia farming value chain in Côte d'Ivoire. FISH4ACP is an initiative of the Organisation of African, Caribbean and Pacific States (OACPS), implemented by FAO with funding from the EU and the German Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ).
