The International Year of Artisanal Fisheries and Aquaculture (IYAFA) 2022 has been celebrated across Africa with events, new conversations and new initiatives. This regional event will draw many of those threads together for an online closing ceremony that will discuss what has been achieved during the year, and recommendations for the way forward. The event is organised by the FAO Regional Office for Africa. Important partner participants include Fisheries Ministers, regional fisheries bodies, implementing partners and fishers, processors and traders.
