Marie-Josèphe Amiot-Carlin is a senior scientist in nutrition and public health, Honorary Director of Research at the French National Research Institute for Agriculture, Food and the Environment (INRAE). Her fields of expertise are food and nutritional security, micronutrients and healthy diets, prevention of malnutrition, and sustainable food systems. She has published over 350 original articles, reviews and book chapters. She was involved in 24 national and international projects as principal investigator or work package leader.
From 2008 to 2022, Marie Josèphe Amiot-Carlin was head and co-head of 4 research units. She has been invited several times to be a member of national and international panels of experts in nutrition. Since 2018, she has been the scientific adviser for food systems at the French Research Agency. In 2020, she was elected Deputy Vice-President for International Relations at the SFN (Société Française de Nutrition), and she chairs the French International Scientific Committee of Nutrition.
She has been a member of the HLPE-FSN Steering Committee since 2023.
She is a national of France.
