This high-level special session of Rome Nutrition Week 2026, led by Permanent Representation of Spain to the UN in Rome and with the presence of H.E. H.E. Mr. Pedro Sánchez, President of the Government of Spain, will examine the impacts of the Middle East conflict on food security and nutrition, with a focus on rising humanitarian needs, disrupted food systems, and growing vulnerabilities across the region. Bringing together senior global leaders, the event will highlight the urgent need for coordinated international action to protect livelihoods, ensure access to nutritious food, and strengthen resilience in times of crisis.
