The objectives of this meeting, organized by EuFMD in collaboration with EURL Sciensano, are:

  • To present an epidemiological update on lumpy skin disease (LSD), sheep pox and goat pox (SPGP), including risks of re-emergence and spread in the SEE region.
  • To share observations and lessons learned from European outbreaks.
  • To provide an update on existing validated diagnostic assays, diagnostic approaches, and novel techniques.
  • To provide updates from countries on emergency response, preparedness activities, and surveillance.
