Meetings of the Statement of Intention (SOI) agreement, the Group for Vaccination Advice, Guidance and Consultation (GVA) and workshop on Early Warning Surveillance (EWS)

The objectives of this meeting are:

  • to review the progress of activities in 2024-2025 as part of SOI agreement: risk information sharing, preparedness, laboratory support, GIS and risk mapping capacities, post vaccination monitoring;
  • to present and discuss regional and national FMD and similar TADs (PPR, SGP, LSD) situation, progress made, and major risks identified;
  • to agree on priorities, possible support, way forward and update of SOI agreement;
  • to launch the programme for assessing sensitivity of passive surveillance as part of the plan to improve early warning surveillance;
  • to plan the next Joint Permanent Committee meeting of SOI in May at WOAH General Session in Paris.
