The aim of the workshop is to further develop the capacity of Georgia’s Veterinary Services in emergency response by providing training on the design of simulation exercises to government veterinarians.

By the end of the training, participants will be able to:

• explain the importance of simulation exercises for improving emergency preparedness, and the purposes for which they can be used;
• draft a concept note for a simulation exercise;
• plan the scenario documents;
• conduct a small tabletop exercise or drill;
• plan the evaluation of a small tabletop exercise or drill.
