The intensive course will provide a thorough understanding of the current diagnostic techniques for FMD virus (FMDV). Participants will explore diverse diagnostic tools, including ELISAs (for antigen detection and serotyping, and for antibody detection), Lateral Flow Devices (LFD), Virus Neutralization Tests (VNT), and Real-Time PCR (RT-PCR). The program also covers critical concepts such as differentiation of infected from vaccinated animals (DIVA), biosecurity protocols, and phylogenetic analysis of FMDV.
