Creating an enabling environment for responsible investment in agriculture: video interviews with policy-makers and youth
Policy-makers from Guinea, Mali and Mauritania speak about three topics crucial to enhance responsible investment in agriculture: the investment approval process, inclusive and effective consultations, and investment for young agri-entrepreneurs. Likewise, young agri-entrepreneurs from Guinea and Senegal highlight challenges and opportunities to engage youth in responsible agricultural investment. These interviews were done in the context of FAO's learning programme for policy-makers with participants from Guinea, Mali, Mauritania and Senegal. The objective of the programme is to build the capacities of key political actors to foster more and better investments in agriculture, as per the Principles for Responsible Investment in Agriculture and Food Systems (CFS-RAI). This learning programme is implemented in partnership with the Agricultural and Rural Prospective Initiative (IPAR).
