Established in the year 2011 by five founding members, the Agro Castranova Agricultural Cooperative has had a laudable development. In just four years, it has expanded to four counties (Dolj, Argeș, Gorj and Olt) and has managed to gather 3,000 members, both natural and legal persons. 900 of them are beekeepers, 70 grow plants (wheat and corn), two of them are wine-growers, 400 are vegetable growers, and the rest of them work in the zoo technical sector. It is an agricultural cooperative with a special composition, perhaps even unique in our country, consisting of members from all activity sectors in agriculture
