he Global Indigenous Youth Caucus (GIYC) met with FAO from April 5 to 8 in Rome headquarters with sixteen participants across seven world regions to discuss partnerships between FAO with Indigenous peoples worldwide. This is the first time the GIYC members have had the opportunity to meet with FAO representatives. The three-day event also provided a space for the youth to prepare their recommendations to the upcoming United Nations Permanent Forum on Indigenous Issues in New York.
