Vétérinaires sans Frontières Germany is built on the belief that healthy animals, healthy humans and a healthy environment are of fundamental importance. The main target group of VSFG are pastoral and agro-pastoral village communities, fishing communities, as well as regional authorities, refugees and internally displaced persons. The organization’s headquarters is based in Berlin. It operates in the Great Horn of Africa-region since 1998 and has officially registered country offices in Ethiopia, Kenya, Somalia, Sudan, South Sudan and Uganda. VSFG implements integrated programs, i.e. operates intersectoral and holistically caters to the needs of the target groups. The One Health approach has been guiding for all interventions in: - Food Security and Safety - Drought Prevention - Peace Building and Good Governance - WASH - Animal Health - Income Generation - Infrastructure - Women Empowerment
