CAC48 / The Codex Alimentarius Commission meets for the 48th time
The 48th Session of the Codex Alimentarius Commission (CAC) has opened at FAO headquarters in Rome, Italy. Over the week of 10–14 November, delegates will deliberate on the work that has been forwarded to CAC by the Codex subsidiary bodies, which include consideration of hundreds of Codex texts, the issues that have been brought to the attention of the Commission, and the monitoring framework for the upcoming Codex Strategic Plan 2026–2031.

CCEXEC89 / The Executive Committee sets the stage for the Commission
The 89th Session of the Codex Executive Committee (CCEXEC) has concluded at FAO headquarters in Rome, Italy with adoption of the report after “a good and productive session,” according to Allan Azegele, Chairperson of the Codex Alimentarius Commission.

Regional workshop strengthens use of the Codex online commenting system in Asia

Codex Trust Fund strengthens regional capacity in South Asia

The Codex Committee on Spices and Culinary Herbs (CCSCH) agreed at its 8th session, held 13–17 October, to forward the standard for large cardamom for adoption. The success of this work, which was chaired by Bhutan and co-chaired by Nepal and India, was a significant milestone in regional collaboration under the Codex framework.
