Webinar on Agro-Ecological Zoning for Lao PDR

FAO NSL Geospatial Unit organises a webinar on the use of PyAEZ for Agro-Ecological Zoning on 9 June 2022. The webinar is dedicated to national experts from the Department of Agricultural Land Management of the Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry of Lao PDR. Latest updates and improvements of the PyAEZ code will be presented and illustrated, including the integration of PyAEZ into a cloud-computing platform. This webinar will contribute to strengthen national technical capacities for crop modelling and agro-ecological zoning to support the preparation of a national assessment of the impact of climate change on strategic crops. The analysis is supporting the preparation of the Green Climate Fund (GCF) Project on “Scaling-up local and National Level Decision Making for Climate Resilience in Agricultural Sector”.
