Workshops on use of geospatial technologies for crop mapping in Pakistan

17/10/2022 - 03/11/2022

Two workshops on the use of geospatial technologies for crop mapping are organized in Islamabad and Karachi, Pakistan from the 17th to the 20th of October 2022 and from the 31st of October to the 3rd of November 2022 respectively. The workshops are part of a wider capacity development process with Ministry of Climate Change, researchers and national institutions through the project “Transforming Pakistan’s Indus Basin with climate-resilient agriculture and water management”. The project aims at increasing the resilience of the country’s agriculture sector to the impacts of climate change. Crop mapping is an essential requirement to assess and improve crop and water productivity, a key step on developing climate-smart options for farmers.
