ABSTRACT

The sixteenth session of the SIPAM was held in Monastir, Tunisia on 14–15 May 2025 and brought together 12 participants to discuss updates, challenges, and future steps related to aquaculture data reporting. The primary objectives of the session were to review the status of data submissions and the SIPAM platform; assess the quality of aquaculture production statistics; discuss socioeconomic data collection and its integration; contribute to the State of Mediterranean and Black Sea Fisheries (SoMFi) report; present and receive feedback on the modernization of the SIPAM platform; formulate recommendations for the CAQ intersession.
