GFOI partner the Food and Agriculture Organization is organizing a Webinar on the forest monitoring experience of the Democratic Republic of the Congo.

The webinar will provide an overview of the ongoing work in the African region on forest monitoring and climate action and will present what is being done to increase transparency in the forest sector in DRC.

The webinar will be moderated by Emily Donegan (FAO) and Cristina Petracchi, Leader of the FAO eLearning Academy. Speakers include Mr Rémi d'Annunzio (FAO), Ms Rocío Cóndor-Golec (FAO), Mr Benjamin Toirambe Bamoninga (Ministry of the Environment and Sustainable Development, Democratic Republic of the Congo) andMr Julian Fox (FAO).

This event is conducted in the framework of the project "Building global capacity to increase transparency in the forest sector (CBIT-Forest)" funded by the Capacity-Building Initiative for Transparency (CBIT) trust fund of the Global Environment Facility (GEF).
