 GFOI Lead partner the Norwegian Ministry of Climate & Environment, through its International Climate and Forest Initiative (NICFI) together with Kongsberg Satellite Services (KSAT), Planet and Airbus, are organizing the event “How can satellites help save the forests” to take place during 2021 United Nations Climate Change Conference (COP26) in Glasgow (United Kingdom).

The event will be held in-person on Sunday 7 November, from 16:00 to 19:00 GMT at CitizenM Hotel, Glasgow, UK. The event is by registration only, and you can reserve your spot here.

Leaders from Governments, Private sector, NGOs, and more will explore how technology and data are enhancing the fight against tropical deforestation and climate change.

One year after the launch of the Satellite Data Programme, the event will offer the opportunity to showcase some experiences and reflect on their impact and, finally, after a year and a half of the pandemic, to start networking with the forest community once again!.
