GLOSOLAN, the Global Soil Laboratory Network will celebrate 5 successful years of bringing soil laboratories to the forefront! 

The Global Soil Laboratory Network (GLOSOLAN) was established in 2017 to build and strengthen the capacity of laboratories in soil analysis and to respond to the need for harmonizing soil analytical data. At present, about 1000 laboratories from 154 countries registered in GLOSOLAN and joined efforts to improve their analytical capacity by implementing GLOSOLAN activities. In order to recall the many achievements of the network over its 5 years of existence and to restate the importance of having good quality, harmonized SOIL data, GLOSOLAN is organizing a celebrative event on 10 November.

On April the 27^th, a webinar dedicated to the application of spectroscopy to soil analysis in Denmark within the new series of training sessions organized by the Global Soil Laboratory Network (GLOSOLAN) capacity-building program was held. During the webinar, the activities related to soil spectroscopy in Denmark were presented from the academia and from the private sector perspectives including examples of research projects and a laboratory demonstration.

Sustainable soil management for nutrition-sensitive agriculture

The Global Soil Laboratory Network (GLOSOLAN) was established in 2017 to build and strengthen the capacity of laboratories in soil analysis and to respond to the need for harmonizing soil analytical data. Harmonization of methods, units, data and information is critical to (1) provide reliable and comparable information between countries and projects; (2) allow the generation of new harmonized soil data sets; and (3) support evidence-based decision making for sustainable soil management.
