The 3rd Global Soil Biodiversity Conference was held in Dublin (Ireland) from 13 to 15 March 2023. The conference successfully brought together the world’s leading experts in this interdisciplinary field of soil biodiversity science and addressed urgent global challenges related to human, animal and plant health and the need for a more sustainable world. It provided the latest updates on soil biodiversity research and knowledge for scientists, policy makers, regulators, environmental agencies, conservationists, land user managers and other stakeholders in the sustainable use and conservation of soil biodiversity.

We are pleased to announce the launch of our new publication "Technical Guidelines on soils for nutrition" This document is the result of a scoping review of existing literature and the empirical evidence gathered under the Soils for Nutrition project, which was funded by the Federal Ministry of Food and Agriculture of Germany (BMEL).

Representatives of the Global Soil Laboratory Network (GLOSOLAN) were invited to the 17th International Symposium on Soil and Plant Analysis (ISSPA) to present and share with the international scientific community the main achievements of the network over recent years, as well as to highlight the main needs of soil laboratories worldwide.
