The International Network of Soil Information Institutions (INSII) serves as the technical backbone of Pillar 4 and as the main data provider network for the Global Soil Information System (GloSIS). INSII consists of nationally mandated institutions and other Global Soil Partnership (GSP) partners that have the willingness to contribute to the GloSIS. In order to take further steps in the execution of the Pillar 4 Implementation Plan, the network needs a committed, highly qualified individual to serve as the INSII Chairperson. In collaboration with the GSP Secretariat, the INSII Chairperson will chair the INSII's annual working sessions as well as virtual and in-person Pillar 4 Working Group meetings, reporting on progress made to the GSP Plenary and INSII. The Chairperson is expected to collaborate with other GSP pillars, technical networks and working groups including the Intergovernmental Technical Panel on Soils (ITPS).
