Alessandro Borghese was born in Milan to the German-Italian actress, Barbara Bouchet, and Luigi Borghese. Alessandro developed a passion for cooking at an early age, influenced by both his mother’s love of food and the cultural environment to which he was exposed. Alessandro’s formal culinary training took place in Italy and abroad; he gained expertise in classic French cuisine, which he later infused with the bold, fresh flavors of Italian cooking. He honed his skills under several famous chefs at prestigious restaurants in New York and elsewhere in the USA.
Borghese's career breakthrough came when he began appearing on Italian television, where his culinary expertise and engaging personality won him a dedicated following. He first gained widespread fame through the popular TV show “Cucina con Ale,” where he shared his culinary skills in an entertaining way. He later went on to host other highly successful programs such as “Alessandro Borghese 4 Ristoranti.” In addition to his TV career, Borghese is an accomplished restaurateur; “Alessandro Borghese - Il Lusso della Semplicità” (in Milano and Venezia) offers a fusion of traditional Italian dishes with creative contemporary twists. Borghese has published several best-selling cookbooks, including “Cacio & Pepe. La mia vita in 50 ricette.”
