Ruben Bondì

Ruben Bondì
Ruben Bondì is an Italian chef and digital content creator from Rome, recognized for bringing traditional Italian cuisine to new audiences through accessible and community-driven storytelling. Specializing in Roman and Roman-Jewish culinary traditions, he combines heritage, simplicity, and innovation to promote food as a tool for connection, culture, and inclusion.

Ruben gained widespread recognition during the 2020 lockdown, when he began cooking from the balcony of his apartment in Rome, preparing meals requested by neighbors and sharing images of them online. His authentic and engaging approach quickly resonated with millions across social media, leading to television projects including Cucina in balcone con Ruben and Cucina al mercato con Ruben on Food Network.

Through television, publishing, and digital platforms, Ruben continues to inspire younger generations by celebrating local food traditions, reducing the distance between chefs and everyday cooking, and encouraging a more inclusive and sustainable relationship with food culture. In 2024, he was awarded “Storyteller Creator of the Year” at the Italian TikTok Awards.
