Fifteenth meeting of the Conference of the Parties to the UN Convention on Biological Diversity (CBD-COP15)

FAO, together with the Secretariat of the Convention on Biological Diversity (CBD) and in the framework of the EU funded project ACP MEAs 3, organized a series of regional webinars to discuss priorities and actions following the Fifteenth meeting of the Conference of the Parties to the UN Convention on Biological Diversity (CBD-COP15) and the adoption of the Kunming-Montreal Global Biodiversity Framework (GBF).

The programme supported ACP countries and their focal points through the following key activities:

  • Prior to the COP15 FAO, organized a webinar to strengthen the understanding of the GBF as it relates to agrobiodiversity and improve the capacity of negotiators and national focal points from the ACP countries;
  • Promoted active participation to COP15;
  • Following COP15, held a series of webinars with the objective of unpack and build capacity to ensure a shared understanding of the Kunming-Montreal Global Biodiversity framework;
