INDIAN AGRICULTURE TOWARDS 2030 – Book Launch and Panel Discussion

11/03/2022

The NITI Aayog along with FAO is organising a public event on Monday, 28 March 2022 in New Delhi, India as the finale of a collaborative national policy dialogue. The Hon’ble Minister of Agriculture and Farmers Welfare, Government of India (GoI), will launch the book titled Indian Agriculture Towards 2030: Pathways for Enhancing Farmers’ Income, Nutritional Security and Sustainable Food and Farm Systems to be published by Springer, at this event.

The volume captures the outcomes of the two-year deliberative process of the National Dialogue by the NITI Aayog and the Ministries of Agriculture and Farmers’ Welfare; Fisheries, Animal Husbandry and Dairying; and Jal Shakti of Government of India facilitated by FAO. The National Conference under this process was organised through 19 to 22 January 2021.

The aim of the dialogue has been to complement efforts of the GoI in designing a post-Green Revolution future for the country, wherein agri-food systems can further nutritional targets, enhance livelihoods and safeguard human and ecological health. The dialogue process envisions the transformative vision for the ongoing decade.
