This session will highlight tea-producing communities and landscapes designated by FAO as Globally Important Agricultural Heritage Systems (GIAHS)—living systems sustained by generations who manage environments to preserve biodiversity, culture, and food security. As part of this year’s celebration, a new tea-producing GIAHS site in China will be announced, emphasizing the link between traditional farming knowledge, biodiversity, and community resilience.
