The Global Record programme will be thoroughly explained in a presentation by the Global Record Programme Coordinator, at this year's World Seafood Congress being organized in Iceland, 11 - 13 September 2017.

The actual presentation will be held on the first day of the conference during the session "Seafood Sustainability & Food Security", where Ms Alicia Mosteiro will be elaborating on "FAO Instruments and tools to fight illegal, unreported and unregulated (IUU) fishing". The Global Record programme is considered one of the main FAO instruments to fight IUU fishing.
