FAO at World Water Week 2023
Experts gather in Stockholm for leading annual conference on water
The 2023 edition of the World Water Week in Stockholm has a special focus on innovation at a time of unprecedented challenges. Its theme Seeds of Change: Innovative Solutions for a Water-Wise World, invites us to rethink how we manage water.
From the UN Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO), with our global and country partners, we invite you to explore sessions on new ways of managing water to tackle agriculture and food security and health, adopting new technologies, while embracing biodiversity, to mitigate and adapt to climate change. Which ideas, innovations, and governance systems will we need in a more water scarce world?
Drawing on the latest scientific knowledge and experiences from around the world, FAO will bring innovative applications of whole genome sequencing, from water to food safety, and integrated data and information systems to tackle multiple variables in water and food security as well as water tenure dialogues for sound governance.
The week aims to plant seeds of change, and FAO will be as active as ever, with a full programme of sessions on a wide variety of topics covering agriculture and WASH, gender, technology, and governance. And please don’t forget to visit us at the FAO Booth!
World Water Week runs from 20th - 24th August 2023.
