2019 International Mountain Day

The Permanent Mission of the Kyrgyz Republic to the United Nations and the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations are celebrating International Mountain Day 2019 in a dedicated event featuring distinguished guests. This year's theme is "Mountains Matter for Youth", and it serves as an opportunity for young generations to take the lead and request that mountains and mountain peoples become central in the national and international development agendas, receive more attention, investments and tailored research.
