2020 International Tea Day

The first observance of the International Tea Day is celebrated in a virtual event organized by the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO) and the Permanent Mission of the People's Republic of China, under the theme "Tea for Sustainable Development". High-level representatives from the United Nations community speak in favor of the sustainable production and consumption of tea, and raise awareness about its role in achieving the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development.
