2020 World Pulses Day

The Permanent Missions of Burkina Faso, Canada and Turkey to the United Nations and the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations are celebrating World Pulses Day 2020 with a luncheon, which will be held at the Ford Foundation Center for Social Justice on 12 February 2020, from 1:15 to 2:45 pm.
The World Pulses Day 2020 theme is "Plant proteins for a sustainable future", which speaks directly to the fact that pulses contribute to healthy diets, sustainable food production and food security. They are a great source of protein and amino acids, and their consumption helps with tackling non-communicable diseases.
