FAO at HLPF 2023

Hybrid Event, 10/07/2023 - 19/07/2023

The 2023 session of the High-level Political Forum (HLPF), under the auspices of the UN Economic and Social Council (ECOSOC), will take place from 5 to 18 July, in New York, and will include a High-level Segment.

Convening under the theme "Building back better from the coronavirus diseases (COVID-19) while advancing the full implementation of the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development," the 2023 session of the HLPF will also review in depth the progress achieved on SDG 6 on clean water and sanitation, SDG 7 on affordable and clean energy, SDG 9 on industry, innovation and infrastructure, SDG 11 on sustainable cities and communities, and SDG 17 on partnerships for the Goals. 

The HLPF in July will also support the mid-term review of the implementation of the SDGs and the preparations for the 2023 SDG Summit – the HLPF to be convened under the auspices of the General Assembly in September 2023.
