What comes to mind when you think of humanitarian actions? Chances are, it is not seeds and livestock. Yet, agriculture is among the most cost-effective humanitarian interventions -- saving livelihoods to save lives. Unfortunately, this is not reflected in our collective response to a number of major ongoing crises.

Join us for a policy discussion hosted by FAO North America in partnership with CARE, Catholic Relief Services, Mercy Corps and Save the Children on the urgent need to consider how we are responding to humanitarian crises, and to ensure that agriculture -- and efforts to improve resilience and protect the livelihoods of the most vulnerable communities -- is a central part of our response.

This webinar featuring Rein Paulsen, Director of the FAO Office of Emergencies and Resilience, and leading experts from civil society, will examine what actions, investments, and policies are needed to ensure that our collective response to humanitarian crises is meeting immediate needs while also addressing the root causes of food insecurity.   Join the conversation on Twitter using the hashtag #InvestInHumanity.
