Sustainable food value chains for nutrition and gender equality

FAO has developed or contributed to the development of several tools to systematically integrate nutrition and gender dimensions into value chain analysis and develop sustainable food value chains:

Tools and publications

  • E-learning courses on small and medium enterprises and nutrition:
    • Small and medium enterprises and nutrition - making the business case (available in English and Spanish)
    • Small and medium enterprises and nutrition - upgrading business models (available in English and Spanish)

Interventions and projects

  • Training of trainers and technical support to mainstream gender and nutrition dimensions into fisheries value chain development within the framework of the project for “Sustainable management of bycatch in Latin America and Caribbean trawl fisheries” (GCP/RLA/201/GFF)
