One Health

Using case studies to establish the added value of the One Health approach in different contexts

Virtual Event, 30/04/2024

30 April 2024 | 13:00-14:00 (CEST)

Economic evidence plays a pivotal role in guiding investment decisions. However, accurately assessing the true effects of investments into One Health to solve problems in complex systems remains a significant challenge. This is particularly true for investments in global public goods, where evaluating the benefits can be difficult. Additionally, demonstrating the effectiveness of the One Health approach presents its own set of challenges.

In this webinar you will hear about a case study exploring a game theory of One Health with rabies elimination in Africa as an example. We invite you to bring your own experiences and questions in generating evidence on the economic value of One Health.

Join the webinar to:

  • Discuss how we can conceptualize the benefits of the One Health approach in economic evaluations.
  • Discover how to present the impact of One Health investments and learn about selecting key data and information.
  • Exchange our experiences and ideas for measuring the added value of the One Health approach, to better promote its potential for change.

This webinar featured a case study presented by Prof. Jakob Zinsstag-Klopfenstein, Deputy Head, Department of Epidemiology and Public Health, Swiss Tropical and Public Health Institute.
