到2050年，全球人口预计将达到96亿，对畜产品的需求预计将增长20%。由于世界人口不断增长、生活日益富裕且城镇化水平不断提高，人们对肉类、蛋类和奶类的需求不断增加，畜牧业需要对此予以应对。
