粮农组织从来不是孤军奋战。我们的根本观点是卓有成效的政策是通过包容性对话的方式制定并得到落实的。粮农组织在与利益相关者开展政策对话、制定规范和标准、推动工作伙伴关系、收集分析和发布数据信息、以及筹措促进转型变革所需的资源等方面发挥着关键支撑作用。
本搜索引擎为粮农组织参与的所设范围领域宽广的与政策有关的机制提供了接入点。粮农组织或是作为召集者在其中制定议程并提供秘书处服务；亦或是作为战略伙伴提供信息和专业知识、促进辩论并推动制定行动计划。
