Mechanisms

FAO never works alone. Our fundamental view is that effective policy is generated and implemented through inclusive dialogue. FAO plays a vital, supportive role engaging stakeholders in policy dialogue, developing norms and standards, catalyzing working partnerships, gathering, analyzing and disseminating data and information, and mobilizing the resources required for transformational change.

This search engine provides access to the extraordinary range and scope of policy-related mechanisms* in which FAO participates.  FAO acts as either the convener, setting the agenda and serving as secretariat, or as a strategic partner, providing information and expertise, facilitating deliberations and contributing to the formulation of action plans.
