粮农组织智慧农业模式有助于农民改善生计，通过促使农民采用经济实惠的技术和高效的资源管理，实施良好园艺规范，实现以更少的投入生产更多、更优质的粮食。
该模式专注于生产高价值、营养丰富的水果和蔬菜，聚焦六个核心领域：设施农业系统、良好园艺规范、当地技术能力和支持、优质投入品、市场导向和数字技术。
自2019年起，智慧农业模式已在乌兹别克斯坦和越南实施，并自2024年起在洪都拉斯和赞比亚进行推广。
