Training on the SDG Indicator 2.4.1 questionnaire in Burundi

FAO entrusted the Ministry of Environment, Agriculture and Livestock with conducting a pilot survey to measure SDG Indicator 2.4.1 (Proportion of agricultural area under productive and sustainable agriculture) in Burundi. The National Institute of Statistics of Burundi will work with the Directorate of Statistics and Environmental, Agricultural, and Livestock Information to conduct this survey.
To this end, Burundi received technical support from FAO regarding SDG Indicator 2.4.1. Training on the collecting tools was arranged for 27 staff members from August 9–11, 2023, with the following goals:
- Present the context and justification, objectives and expected results of the pilot survey for Indicator 2.4.1
- Train participants on the data collection questionnaire
- Train participants on the interviewer manual
- Train participants on the data collection application
- Carry out the simulation to test the data collection tools
