Regional workshop on SDG Indicator 5.a.2 (Women’s equal rights to land ownership) in the Western Asia region

FAO is hosting a multi-stakeholder workshop on SDG Indicator 5.a.2 (Women’s equal rights to land ownership) in the Western Asia region on December 14.
Indicator 5.a.2 measures the extent of women’s disadvantages in ownership of and rights to land, as well as equal legal rights to land ownership. Together with indicator 5.a.1, it provides a basis for policy measures aimed at securing equal opportunities and access to rights and resources.
As the custodian agency for SDG indicators 5.a.1 and 5.a.2, FAO supports the efforts of the countries in monitoring target 5.a on equal rights to economic resources, property ownership and financial services.
