The Rome Water Dialogue, held as part of the World Food Forum, focused on advancing Integrated Water Resources Management (IWRM) and water tenure to support food security, climate resilience and sustainable agriculture, and therefore progress on several Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) at once. The issues discussed in Rome, including water tenure, irrigation and water monitoring, are also at the heart of FAO’s brief, FAO and SDG 6: Ensure availability and sustainable management of water and sanitation for all.
