Interventions d'urgence du PCT
Les projets d’urgence menés au titre du PCT appuient des mesures d’anticipation et des interventions immédiates en cas de catastrophe, mais aussi des mesures de relèvement rapides en proposant sans délai des ressources, des services et des formations indispensables au secteur agricole. Le PCT aide les communautés touchées à reprendre rapidement la production alimentaire et les activités grâce auxquelles elles peuvent retrouver des moyens d’existence. Il apporte également un soutien technique et opérationnel, qui se décline en plusieurs volets: prévision, suivi, coordination technique et opérationnelle régionale ou sous-régionale (par exemple dans le cas de l’intervention d’urgence contre le criquet pèlerin); appui opérationnel apporté aux capacités nationales d’intervention immédiate; produits (par exemple supports de communication et de formation), documents et orientations techniques, stratégies et plans d’action, et installations techniques/technologies et matériel visant à renforcer les capacités locales en vue de faire face à une situation de crise ou de s’y préparer.
