Addressing the climate-food security-development nexus in livestock systems

This session will highlight technical practices that can address both mitigation and adaptation objectives, while outlining potential synergies and tradeoffs. However, successful adaptation and mitigation requires that practices also appeal to producers’ socio-economic objectives for profitability and productivity. In addition to identifying technical practices to achieve climate change mitigation and adaptation, this session will elaborate mechanisms to promote socio-economically inclusive scaling of climate solutions in the livestock sector.
