The IPPC webinar series on Climate change and phytosanitary measures aims to raise awareness and encourage discussions on climate change's effects on plant pests, mitigation measures, and how to safeguard food security, the environment, and international trade. Climate change, associated with temperature increases and extreme weather events, significantly impacts global food security by disrupting food availability, reducing access to food, and lowering food quality. The IPPC is working on assessing and managing the impact of climate change on plant health.
