In celebration of International Mountain Day 2025, FAO and the Mountain Partnership Secretariat will host a high-level event dedicated to the critical importance of glaciers for water, food security and sustainable livelihoods in mountain regions and beyond. The event will feature inspiring messages from leaders and mountain champions, including an introductory video message from FAO Director-General QU Dongyu. This will be followed by the official Mountain Future Award 2025 ceremony and a mountain youth panel focused on local solutions and forward-looking action.
