EEZ area is bigger than the land area for 25 WECAFC members, out of 33 countries. For 12 members EEZ is 10 or more times the land area, and for 5 members, EEZ is more than 50 times the land area. These numbers show the importance of EEZ or in general marine areas, for WECAFC members.
