We are all connected! From our food to our cultures, environment and economies, we live in a globalized world. Climate change, conflict and inequality can often leave groups of people behind because of who they are or where they live. Building a better, more sustainable future for all means no one can be left behind.
Find out how you can take action and be part of the change with the World Food Day Activity Book.
FAO’s Activity Book Series offers children a chance to engage with global issues in a fun and educational way.
FAO headquarters, Friday, 14 October 2022 (14:00 CEST TBC)
Last year, European Space Agency astronaut and FAO Goodwill Ambassador, Thomas Pesquet surprised us with a message from outer space. This year, he’s back on Earth and will participate alongside other exciting guest speakers including Lebanese media professional and FAO Goodwill Ambassador Darine ElKhatib and Spanish chef and food hero Joan Roca for an event packed with fun and guaranteed to inspire action. The event will also feature messages from FAO teams working in countries around the world that are experiencing food crises.
What does a world where no one is left behind look like? Does it have healthy food for everyone? Show us by drawing a poster and participating in the World Food Day Poster Contest. The deadline to submit a poster is 4 November 2022.
Do you eat school meals? Who prepares them and how do they make them? Talk to the chefs at your school and ask them to join the World Food Day call for videos and school food experiences!
