The International Symposium on Agricultural Innovation for Family Farmers: Unlocking the potential of agricultural innovation to achieve the Sustainable Development Goals

In order to organize the FAO International Symposium on Agricultural Innovation for Family Farmers, an FAO Task Force and an external Advisory Panel have been established. The role of the Advisory Panel is to provide strategic advice and guidance to the FAO Task Force, which is responsible for taking all decisions regarding the development and delivery of the symposium.

Through its 22 members, the Advisory Panel brings to FAO a wide range of perspectives and experiences from different work areas, including civil society, donor or development agencies, extension institutions, private sector bodies, producer organisations and research institutions, and different regions of the world.

Members participate in the Advisory Panel in their individual capacity and not as representatives of their respective governments, organizations or professional affiliation (private sector, civil society etc.).

The Advisory Panel met on 11-12 June 2018 at FAO Headquarters to brainstorm, exchange ideas and provide advice and guidance to FAO regarding development of the structure and programme of the symposium. Read the Final report of the Meeting of the Advisory Panel.
