Advisory Group Coordinators

The Advisory Group Coordinators form part of an inter-institutional network set up to support the Programme at the international level. Participation is upon invitation and their terms of reference include the following:

  • To provide technical advice and expertise on specific technical and scientific aspects in the field of Trypanosomosis, tsetse and rural development relevant to FAO, its member states and PAAT partners;

  • To establish and serve as the focal point for a specific or group of activities relevant to the Programme, and to stimulate amongst co-workers a spirit of collaboration through increased interaction and co-operation;

  • To collect, collate and disseminate information on group activities, progress and problems, in order to cross-react with other workers in related fields and to inform and advise the PAAT Secretariat;

  • To participate in annual meetings of the Panel of Advisory Group Coordinators;

  • To participate, as may be requested and in an advisory capacity, in meetings of the PAAT Programme Committee.
